This February 9-10, 2018, the U-M Biological Station (UMBS) will again host researchers and faculty at the sixth annual Winter Research Meeting. Both local investigators and those from all over the country will gather in Ann Arbor to collaborate, present, and advance the Station’s field-based academic and research programs.

The meeting will include active and prospecting teaching faculty, researchers at all levels, and staff who support research, teaching, and mentorship at the Station. In addition to learning about ongoing research and developing collaborative partnerships, the meeting also provides an opportunity for prospective students to interact with UMBS faculty at an information session on Thursday, February 8 (6-7pm in 2024 Dana Building).

Additionally, the Winter Research Meeting allows UMBS affiliates to come together and engage in conversations on promoting a positive and productive Biological Station environment. Dr. Fiona Lee will lead us in a discussion on diversity, equity and inclusion at U-M and discuss resources and tools available for making our field station and its campus a welcoming and supportive environment for all.
