The Fields will present a panel discussion of the entire galaxy of issues involved in the development of Solar Energy in Michigan. The issues include the Michigan Renewable Portfolio Standard, Environmental Issues, Feed-In Tariffs, Enterprise Organization, Zoning, Permitting, Financing, Component Acquisition, PV Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Government Incentives, Renewable Energy Credits, Security, Operation and Maintenance, Insurance, and Taxation. Parents Sam and Shon (Oliver) Field and son Connor Field founded Helios Solar, LLC. They constructed, own and operate the largest non-utility owned solar power generating facility in Michigan in 2010. They contribute their varied backgrounds in law (Sam), Natural Resources (Shon), Economics and Engineering (Connor) to the enterprise of green energy. Shon is a UMBS alumna from 1972. All three family members are Michigan alumni. When Connor completes his electrical engineering program in 2012, they will hold 5 Michigan degrees among them.
