The LSATravel office offers pre-departure health & safety workshops for LSA faculty leading students abroad on CGIS and non-CGIS programs. In addition, LSA students are encouraged to attend our specialized LSATravel pre-departure orientation.
LSA faculty leading students abroad on CGIS and non-CGIS programs in the term prior to summer travel can particpate in workshops in the months leading up to their departure. Faculty orientations are currently suspended due to the pandemic.
LSA students traveling abroad in the spring / summer months are invited to attend optional, drop-in health & safety sessions during March and April. These orientations will cover topics like GeoBlue insurance, on-site safety, registering travel, staying healthy, and general tips to improve student experiences.
This is especially recommended for students traveling solo or in small groups, as you are able to talk about preparations with other students and ask questions directly to health and safety staff about any concerns you might have in a small group setting.
