As outlined in the LSA Travel Policy, all faculty and staff leading an LSA-sponsored student group abroad are mandated to follow the LSA Travel Policy. This is done in order to ensure healthy, safe and secure travel while abroad for students, faculty and staff. This information will only be used in the event of an emergency, critical incident or other urgent matter while you are abroad. Please note that completing these steps is not optional.
There are 3 parts to the group travel requirements, the first two to be completed by group leaders:
Provide program information
Complete leader requirements
Students complete their requirements (details will be provided to students by LSATravel)
Provide a list of group participants
Send the following to firstname.lastname@example.org:
Itinerary of Program
Contact info for where the group will be staying (hotel, homestays, etc)
**OPTIONAL** In-Person Orientation by LSATravel staff
Students will provide this information via the UM Travel Registry known as MCompass. Once the list of group participants is submitted (via the link above), the LSATravel office will create each student a profile in MCompass and provide students with information about how to log-in and complete the information below.
