As outlined in the LSA Travel Policy, all faculty and staff leading an LSA-sponsored student group abroad are mandated to follow the LSA Travel Policy. This is done in order to ensure healthy, safe and secure travel while abroad for students, faculty and staff. This information will only be used in the event of an emergency, critical incident or other urgent matter while you are abroad. Please note that completing these steps is required.

Student Requirements [To Be Completed by Students]

Students will provide this information via the UM Travel Registry known as MCompass. Once the list of group participants is submitted (via the link above), the LSATravel office will create each student a profile in MCompass and provide students with information about how to log-in and complete the information below.

  1. Register in UM Travel Registry

  2. Enroll in UM Travel Health Insurance

  3. Complete the following in MCompass: 

    1. Emergency contact information

    2. Copy of passport

    3. Sign international program participant agreement

    4. LSA In-Person and/or Online Health & Safety Orientations **OPTIONAL**
