Student Organizations Reservations

Registered student organizations with an active SOAS account can reserve LSA rooms through LSA Technology Services.

Where can the service be used?

Most LSA classrooms are available for reservations and rentals. LSA, however, does reserve the right to group events in particular buildings for health, safety, and building management reasons.

The MClassroom Database shows all U-M classrooms, please use the filter option to only view the College of LSA classrooms. 

Requesting Service

First, please read the Rules and Regulations for using an LSA Classroom.

Student organizations can request room rentals through our LSA Room Reservation Request Form.

Room requests can take 3-5 business days to process, sometimes longer depending on the time of year and volume of requests, so please submit your requests as in advance as possible. 

These rooms are reserved for student organizations for the following fees according to room capacity (not attendance), payable by shortcode, and are applied per room, per day:

  • 1–70 — $35
  • 71–150 — $75
  • 150–300 — $150
  • 300+ — $200

 

ADDITIONAL FEES MAY APPLY:

If your organization is looking to reserve a large auditorium, you'll need to make these requests at least 2 weeks in advance and will likely need to purchase audio-visual support.

There are separate charges associated with LSA Technology Services technician support for labor and administrative work, which are charged as a separate fee. Once you have a room confirmation, you will be notified on how to request this service. More information on Special Events Support is available at Classroom Technical Support.

Here are the following classrooms that require an LSA Technology Services technician to operate all installed equipment (AV support will incur an additional service fee) and that will need to be requested at least 2 weeks in advance:

  • Angell Hall Auds A, B, C, and D 
  • Chemistry 1800 
  • East Hall 1324
  • Lorch Hall 140
  • MLB Auds 2, 3, and 4
  • Weis 110/120
  • BSB 1060

SOAS Information for Student Orgs

LSA Technology Services does not provide FREE ROOMS to student organizations. If looking for a free room through SOAS, please visit the SOAS website.
