Acronis provides a central backup repository for research and instrumentation computers running Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, and 8. Linux and Mac OS X based workstations are not eligible at this time. The service offers a disaster-recovery/bare-metal restore when standard file-based backup is not adequate enough for the workstation used to manage the instrument.
To request Acronis to back up your scientific instruments' computers, please contact Technology Services Infrastructure. We aim to respond within 4 business hours.
Any LSA-affiliated faculty, staff, or student using computers for research or instrumentation.
The service is available to labs on the campus network.
