Do I have to orient the screen before each class period?

No, you do NOT need to orient the Wacom monitor screen before using. Just simply turn on the monitor, open your document or presentation in the appropriate program, and begin annotating.

Where is the stylus pen located?

The Wacom stylus pen is tethered and stored on the back of the monitor near the top. Please be sure to place the stylus pen back in the holder after use.

How do I annotate on a PDF, website, or software program?

To annotate on a PDF, open PDF XChange Editor, then open your document. PDF XChange editor has built in annotation tools within the program toolbar.

For annotating on a website or software program, open Epic Pen. Epic Pen places an ink layer over the website, software program, or desktop. You can also use Epic Pen to annotate over a PDF document.

Can I add a blank slide in powerpoint during presentation mode to annotate on?

Yes, you can add a blank slide in powerpoint while in presentation mode. To do so, press the ‘New Slide’ button on the left-hand side of the Wacom monitor.

How do I save my annotations after class?

To save your annotations, follow the instructions below for the appropriate program:

  • PowerPoint — To save annotations in PowerPoint, exit out of presentation mode. A prompt window will appear asking, ‘Want to keep your ink annotations?’ Click Keep, otherwise click Discard.

  • PDF XChange Editor — To save annotations in PDF XChange Editor, click File > Save or press the Save button on right side of monitor.

  • Epic Pen — To save annotations made using Epic Pen, take a screenshot of the document or area where annotations were made. To quickly take a screenshot, press the ‘Screenshot’ button on the right-hand side of the Wacom monitor.

  • OneNote — To save annotations in OneNote, click File > Export > select OneNote Section (.one) or PDF (.pdf) as the format.

I just want a blank screen to write on. How can I achieve this?

You can annotate on a blank screen using blank slides in PowerPoint:

  1. Press the PowerPoint button on the left side of the Wacom monitor. This will open a blank presentation slide in PowerPoint.

  2. Click the Slide Show icon to enter presentation mode.

  3. Use the Wacom stylus pen to begin annotating on the blank slide.
