We are pleased to announce that Dush Fernando has joined the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts as the Director of Support Services in LSA Technology Services.
In this new role, Dush will work in partnership with us, LSA, and University stakeholders to develop and lead the strategy, design, and implementation of a new support model to improve the awareness, access, and support of technology solutions for the LSA Community. Reporting directly to Cathy Curley, Dush will lead the integrated support strategy and champion continuous service and support improvements to achieve our vision: To anticipate, innovate and evolve so that we, our services, and technology are an integral part of each and every person’s life-long LSA experience.
With over 20 years of experience in information technology, Dush joins LSA Technology Services from Northwestern University, where he served as the Director of Technology Support Services responsible for IT Service Management, Service Desk, and Endpoint Management functions. Prior to joining Northwestern, he was the Assistant Director of Client Services and IT Service Management at Michigan State University.
Dush is a lifelong learner—he completed a Ph.D. in Material Sciences at Oxford University and an M.B.A. at Michigan State University. He also enjoys travelling and exploring Michigan’s great outdoors. Dush is highly regarded for providing strong vision, empowering teams, developing people, and delivering exceptional and delightful customer and patron experiences.
The Patron Services, Operations, and Customer Experience Team all report to Dush in Support Services.
