Our team of experts will work with you to assess your workflow, provide storage technology, and process recommendations to optimize the value of these services for your research team. We are committed to providing technology platforms and services that help secure and align research data with the Research Data Stewardship Policy, SPG 303.06

If you are unsure of how to store your research data or have specific needs for performance, availability, or storing sensitive data, please contact us at [email protected].

Solutions for Varied Needs

While the standard offering (via UMRCP) accommodates a wide range of research storage demands, we recognize the necessity for tailored solutions for the LSA community. Addressing the nuances of digital collections, geospatial data sets, and specialized research databases, our staff also provide expertise to support Digital Scholarship and GIS.

Eligibility and Seamless Integration

UMRCP storage is open to:

  • Tenure-track, tenured, and emeritus faculty

  • Lecturers

  • Research scientists working as Principal Investigators on funded grants

  • Postdocs and graduate students with their own grants

  • Guest faculty (after one year of teaching)

  • PhD students with programs where they do not have an advisor (determined on a case-by-case basis)

Initiating the process of asking for storage is simplified with the UMRCP request form.

Features and Advantages

LSA’s storage solution offers researchers unlimited Data Den Research Archive Storage and up to 100 TB of Turbo Research Storage, featuring multiprotocol support, seven-day standard snapshots to recover deleted files during the snapshot window, and compatibility with Great Lakes and Armis clusters.
