Setting Up WiFi Calling for iPhone and Android

There is a solution for the locations at U-M where cellular service is not available or is not strong enough to make a phone call.
by Michael McLean, Media Consultant

WiFi Calling is an option that will enable you to call and send text messages (SMS/MMS) from locations with weak or no cellular service as you do on the regular cellular network.

During setup, you may be prompted to enter or update an address to assist with 911 emergency call routing. This address helps first responders locate you at the address where you are most likely to use WiFi Calling. For more information, see the ITS webpage to read more about WiFi Calling and Emergency Services.
