We are both proud and sad to announce that Ryan Bankston will be leaving LSA IT to become the IT Director at the U-M School of Social Work (SSW). He will play a leadership role in creating an innovative academic computing organization that serves the emerging needs of the SSW community. He will also lead and contribute to a range of projects in instructional design, research computing, and web-based computing that serve the unique needs of SSW faculty, staff, and students, while also working as part of the larger Michigan IT community to develop and take advantage of solutions that are provided at an enterprise level.
Ryan joined the LSA IT Infrastructure team from UM-Dearborn in April 2013. Ryan contributed to a variety of initiatives and projects ranging in system administration, web hosting, networking, and storage. His last day with LSA is Friday, April 20th.
While we will miss Ryan's leadership and technical expertise in LSA, we congratulate him on his new position within the university and wish him success in his new position!
