Infrastructure Winter 2023 Maintenance

LSA Technology Services will be performing standard IT maintenance on the LSA Linux and Windows servers and various network appliances. These servers and services may be temporarily unavailable starting at 7:00 am on Saturday, February 25. All services are expected to be restored by 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 25.

What are we doing?

We're performing routine maintenance:

  • Applying firmware and software updates
  • Performing additional software maintenance
  • Testing disaster recovery plans
  • Unracking decommissioned hardware

What services will be impacted and for how long?

The following services may have intermittent outages between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm Saturday, Feburary 25:

  • Bomgar screen-sharing
  • Distributed File System (DFS) links using \\dfs.lsa.umich.edu-based paths
  • Faculty, Lab, and Research Websites (FLR)
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • OpenShift-based services
  • SharePoint services for the college and university
  • SQL databases and reporting services
  • Unit Websites (AEM), but not the editing functions or the LSA Gateway
  • Windows Lifecycle Management System (WLMS)
  • Windows Web Application Hosting (WWAH)
  • WordPress for Instructors and Students (I&S)
