LSA Technology Services will be performing standard IT maintenance on the LSA Linux and Windows servers and various network appliances. These servers and services may be temporarily unavailable between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 15 and again between 7:00pm and 11:00 pm on Sunday, July 16.
What are we doing?
We're performing routine maintenance:
- Applying firmware and software updates
- Performing additional software maintenance
- Testing disaster recovery plans
- Unracking decommissioned hardware
What services will be impacted and for how long?
The following services may have intermittent outages between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm Saturday, July 15:
- Bomgar screen-sharing
- Crestron Virtual Control Server
- DRRS applications
- Distributed File System (DFS) links using \\dfs.lsa.umich.edu-based paths
- LSA server hosting and storage
- MField Research and Data Hub
- Math departmental servers
- Michigan Flora site
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Museums collections services (CA, IPT, and Specify)
- OpenShift-based services
- SharePoint services for the college and university
- SQL databases and reporting services
- SumoLogic log collecting
- TeachTech
- Unit Websites (AEM), but not the editing functions or the LSA Gateway
- Web Hosting Environment (WHE)
- WebCheckout (for LSA, CAI, SOE, and Stamps)
- Windows Lifecycle Management System (WLMS)
- Windows Web Application Hosting (WWAH)
- WordPress for Payments
The following services may have extended outages between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm Sunday, July 16:
- LSA server hosting and storage
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- SharePoint services for the college and university
- SQL databases and reporting services
