Since 2012 LSA has provided secure shredding services for over 7,500 hard drives. We are pleased to announce the Annual Hard Drive Shredding event is back! It is time again, to clean out your office and lab spaces of old or unnecessary hard drives.
New this year, we have partnered with University Property Disposition to handle hard drive shredding year round! This new process will help in disposing of sensitive hard drives faster. Starting today, you can deliver hard drives and magnetic backup tapes to any LSA Technology Services IT Service Desk walk-in location. To expedite the process, we ask you to please adhere to the following:
Hard drives (and tapes) should be delivered to the LSA IT Service Desk in sealed boxes.
Boxes should be clearly labeled with the number of items, and your contact information.
Boxes should not weigh more than 40 lbs.
This program is being paid for by LSA Technology Services and should be used to dispose of LSA property only. If you are looking to dispose of personal or non-university E-waste, the Office of Campus Sustainability has resources to help.
