LSA Technology Services would like to honor and give a special thanks to our staff members who are graduating this April. We are so proud of your hard work and accomplishments during your time at Michigan and with LSA Technology Services. Congratulations and best wishes for a bright and successful future!

Leo Cromartie

Leo is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. After graduation, Leo is looking forward to becoming a dental hygienist.

“My favorite memories are the team meetings where we eat and converse. That was refreshing to get to know the staff better and I appreciated it a lot!! 🙂”

Chris Chesno

Chris is graduating with a Bachelors in Information Security and Cyber Defense. After graduation Chris wants to continue to build his knowledge about the systems at the University of Michigan (and the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts) and how to better support the faculty and staff. If an opportunity arises where he could transition into the Security team, that would be a possible avenue.

“I've worked in a lot of places; I've been an airline baggage handler, a ramp supervisor, an operations supervisor, a travel agent, an administrative assistant and done IT for healthcare — yet no place other than LSA Technology Services has made me feel like they really care about me as a person. Where a lot of places will tell you that they are all about work-life balance but prove to be anything; but, LSA Technology Services has been absolutely amazing in creating this caring environment where they show the staff how much they really do value them. Just knowing that you're actually cared about makes coming to work so much easier.”

Daymon Beechler

Daymon is graduating with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a double minor in Entrepreneurship and Performing Arts Management. After graduation, Daymon will be moving to Washington DC and to work for Amazon Web Services as a Demand Generation Rep. “My favorite thing has been working with my team! They are absolutely amazing and I look forward to coming to work and having fun. Without a doubt, the best part has been working with Sheri Thornton. I began working right at the beginning of freshman year and I've worked alongside Sheri as my boss since. A lot happened during the four years but she was always supportive and there for me, both in professional and personal situations. I can honestly say that I wouldn't have wanted to work anywhere else during my time here and I will miss the team so much!”

Amirul Miah

Amirul will be getting a Bachelors of Science in Information. After graduating, Amirul will be moving to Chicago and begin a career as a Software Engineer.“My favorite thing about working in Technology Services was meeting my BlueCorps colleagues and getting through all sorts of situations with them. They're all great people that made it worth coming to work, whether it be virtually or in-person.”

Julia Smith

Julia is double majoring in the Psychology Honors Program and in Sociology of Health and Medicine. Post graduation, Julia will be working as a study coordinator with Michigan Medicine in the Michigan Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (MiSCAN) lab. Led by Dr. Tso, the lab looks at ways in which social information and experiences are processed by the brain and how those processes are impacted by psychiatric disorders such as psychosis and bipolar disorder. “If I had to pick a time, I would say my favorite memory with Technology Services would have to be helping train new employees as a Team Lead! It was great to be able to meet so many new coworkers and to become a leader while at work.”

Dalton Knapp

Dalton is graduating with a B.S.E. in Computer Science. Post graduation Dalton will be moving to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to work at Vanguard as a Technology Leadership Program Participant.“A favorite memory from working in LSA Technology Services is all the people that I got to meet, and the team at East Hall that I got to work with for the past three years!”

Josephine Fonger
