Web Services is steadily transitioning AEM components to ensure compatibility with the new touch interface, TouchUI. Adobe has announced plans to sunset the Classic Interface, which includes the Sidekick. In the AEM Version 4.1 Release, Web Editors will see changes to the names of components and component fields.
