AEM 5.5 Code Release: Transition to Touch UI

Overview of the June AEM update

On June 4th, the Web Applications and Development Team deployed the 5.5.0 update for the Adobe Experience Manager platform. Included in this update was the following:

Fixes

  • Fixed Copy/Cut & Paste issues with Layout containers

  • Fixed “Calendar View” from Project Dashboard

  • Fixed Caption styling for Image and Text & Image components

  • Fixed On Site Search for Google Analytics

Improvements

  • Added graphic icons for Components List

  • Added Cut/Copy Icons for YouTube Components

  • Added Reference Component to Customizable Templates

  • Added “Flat” Fill option for Button Component

  • Added External Link option for LSA Tile Component

  • Improved Theme Color Picker

  • Updated LSA Homepage Template

  • Updated Fields of Study page to include tags outside of unit’s tag space

  • Updated Title Component Padding options

Accessibility

  • Added functionality to link to single tab in Tabbed Component

New Features

  • Schedule Component: Display open and closed hours for units. Read more about the schedule component.

  • Site Specific Alert Banner (Sites, Gateway, and Portals) (See Notes for Editors)

System Security

  • Updated authoring group permissions so that authors can see system notifications.

Touch UI Transition

  • Switched default editor for all users to Touch UI (See Notes for Editors)
