Meet the 2021-2020 SLE Faculty Fellow Joshua Newell on Wednesday, September 23rd at 9am EST! Associate professor with the School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) in the Center for Sustainable Systems, Newell will share informally about his research in human-environment geography and urban sustainability, resource consumption, and environmental and social justice. This will be a casual session to get to know each other, so students are invited to drop in and say hello or ask questions. Professor Newell will also share about his popular undergraduate course, Sustainability and Society (ENVIRON 207). Check out his presentation at the Fast Food for Thought event in 2016, "How will Scaling-up Urban Agriculture Impact Food, Energy, & Water Dynamics?"
