Congratulations are due to Professor Xuming He for receiving a Rackham Distinguished Graduate Mentor Award! This award recognizes tenured faculty in any discipline for outstanding mentoring of doctoral students, and is awarded to five faculty across campus every year. This award is especially designed to recognize faculty who go above and beyong to support the intellecual, creative, scholarly, and professional growth of their doctoral students. Since this award was established in 2006, there has only been one previous recipient from the Department of Statistics, Professor Michael Woodroofe in 2007.
