On September 20-21, 2019, the Department of Statistics had the great pleasure of celebrating its 50th Anniversary as a department on campus at the University of Michigan. To mark the historic occasion, the Department hosted an anniversary symposium at Rackham Graduate School. 

Many former and current department members were in attendance to celebrate the many advancements that have been made in the field of Statistics, as well as meet with other professionals across academia and industry. The symposium featured talks led by former professors and alumni, as well as panel discussions.
