In memorial to Professor Michael Woodroofe and his contributions to Statistics, the Department of Statistics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, will be hosting a conference on September 29-30, 2023. The planned sessions for the conference include

*sequential analysis to reinforcement learning,
*shape constraints and beyond,
*limit theorems for dependent data,
*modern data science,
*nonparametrics and selection biases,
*astrostatistics in the 21st century.

The conference will feature around 20 talks mostly by Michael Woodroofe’s friends and co-authors, including also a few special talks by outstanding young researchers.
