Joyce Ho

My research interests lie at the intersection of economic sociology, environmental sociology, and the sociology of knowledge. Specifically, I examine the social and economic impacts of environmental disasters, and how these impacts are intertwined with both public and private insurance.

Prior to joining the department, I received my B.A. from the University of Toronto in 2019, with majors in Sociology and Economics and a minor in Statistics. My work is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
