Sarah Derheim, a first-year LSA student, received the Chesler Student Research Award (for best paper on a social justice or diversity topic) for her paper, "Embracing Fluidity and Uncertainty", which she wrote for Dr. Schoem's First-Year Seminar on social justice, identity, diversity, and community. The paper is an examination of the intersections of the social construction of sexual identities, social change, and activism.

Congratulations Sarah!
