Kelsey Q. Wright has received the 2010 Mark Chesler Student Research Award for her paper Health and Human Rights: Health Care in Women's Prisons. Kelsey will be working and travelling internationally before beginning graduate study at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health next fall.

The endowment for the Mark Chesler Student Research Award was created in 2004 to honor the sociological vision of Professor Emeritus Mark Chesler upon his retirement from the University of Michigan. The award recognizes an undergraduate whose scholarship contributes to the sociological understanding of diversity, social justice, participatory action research, intergroup relations, or service learning.
