Michela Musto is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University at the Clayman Institute for Gender Research. She earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Southern California in 2018. She studies gender, race & ethnicity, and education. Her research has been published in the American Sociological Review and Gender & Society, and she has twice won the ASA Sex & Gender Section Sally Hacker Graduate Student Paper Award. She is working on a book about gender, race, and entitlement in middle school that is under advance contract with the University of Chicago Press. (Her bachelor's degree is in Sociology and Statistics from the University of Michigan).
