The SLC is pleased to announce that Kelley Emerson has transitioned to a new role within the SLC as Assistant Director! Since joining the SLC, Kelley has efficiently managed one of the largest study group programs in the country. Each semester approximately 3,000 students participate in study groups, and Kelley manages over 230 undergraduate study group facilitators.

In addition to her role as Program Manager, Kelley has been a valuable contributor to SLC collaborations and campus-wide initiatives, including the ELI/SLC Co-Mentoring Program and the Tutor Summit. Additionally, Kelley has been an advocate for work centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is a steering committee member for the Undergraduate Education Climate Committee, as well as a member of the Council for Nontraditional Students. She has played a leading role in the planning of the Leadership in Action student leader training, and she has collaborated on numerous events and sessions for the Center for the Education of Women through her position on the Scholar Community Advisory Committee.

Over the past year, Kelley has taken on additional responsibilities at the SLC, including her participation on LSA search committees, as well as presenting at a national conference in May. Kelley consistently exceeds expectations and pushes herself to take on new challenges.

We are proud of Kelley's accomplishments and grateful for her continued commitment to excellence. In this new role, Kelley will continue to provide oversight of the Study Group Program. Please join us in congratulating her on this accomplishment!
