Mentorship

The Science Learning Center’s Peer Mentorship Program for aspiring science and math majors connects first and second-year students to peer mentors who provide encouragement, support and resources leading to a positive transition to college life and a successful path to majoring in a mentee’s chosen field.

The Mentorship Program will begin with a kickoff event on the evening of October 19th, during which mentors and mentees will meet for the first time and get a chance to get to know each other better.  Applications for Fall 2017 have closed. If you have questions and/or would like to know more about how to apply next year, please email slcmentorship@umich.edu.

Here's What Some of Our Mentees Have Said...

My mentor was amazing for helping me schedule my four years. Very beneficial! Helped me gain confidence in my abilities.

The most important benefit of the program was just simple advice on college life. Study tips and information on other programs was helpful as well.

The Mentor-Mentee relationship was my biggest gain. She was the best mentor I could have asked for. She was always there to help me destress.
