Over the past few months, The Detroit Center Connector project has collected data from University staff, faculty, students and Detroit residents to design a pilot shuttle program. Before we publish our official report this summer, we wanted to give you a sneak peak at what we've learned.

PARTICIPANTS

325 different people completed our surveys. 28% of those surveyed identified themselves as Detroit residents. From the data provided by these participants, it is clear that not only would those who commute to and from Detroit use a shuttle, but it would inspire a significant amount of people to start commuting back and forth.

TRAVEL FREQUENCY

Over 175 survey participants said they would travel more often between Ann Arbor and Detroit if transit were readily available.

78% of respondents would be “very likely” to use a shuttle on weekends.

70% of respondents would be “likely” to use the shuttle on weekdays.

LOOKING AHEAD
