Award amounts vary based on each student's individual financial situation. The good news is that you can apply for a scholarship every academic year. No matter what transpires this year or next, our Returning Student Scholarship has you covered.

What does the scholarship cover?
The Returning Student Scholarship helps to cover the cost of attendance.
Amounts and Duration
The Returning Student Scholarship is based on a student's financial need and can range anywhere from $1000 to $20,000 per year. These awards are non-renewable, but you can (and should!) apply every year.
Application Deadline
The Returning Student Scholarship application for the 2024-25 academic year will open on January 1, 2024. All awarding/reviewing has been completed for the 2023-24 academic year.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for an LSA Returning Student Scholarship, a student:
- Must be an undergraduate currently enrolled full-time and pursuing a degree program (or MDDP) in the College of LSA.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (i.e. possess a green card).
- Must apply for and receive need-based support through the Office of Financial Aid.
- Must have a FAFSA and CSS profile on file with the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) and must renew their FAFSA annually.
How do I apply?
All eligible LSA students are encouraged to apply through our Returning Student Scholarship application. Follow the link below to get started. There are two steps.
Step one: Begin by completing the general application. When asked which scholarship program you are applying to, click the box for "Returning Student Scholarship."
Step two: Once the general application has been submitted, you will then be directed to complete the Returning Student Scholarship application. Submit this application for full consideration.
