My research focuses on twentieth and twenty-first centuries Latin American literature, cinema, and performance, with an emphasis on Colombian contemporary cultural production. Some of the courses I have taught at Michigan include Cartographies of Violence in Latin American Cinema, Realism and Melodrama in Hispanic Cinema, and Narratives of Migration in Contemporary Latin America.
