About
The impact of art and literature on people's day-to-day lives is of high interest to me. I want to explore the elitism of the academic world and see if there is a bridge between research papers and publications and the "real" people's lives. Some of my other interests include les bandes desinées and the representations of marginalized societies in this more approachable, understandable medium. I want to explore how (well) represented people feel in works of literature, and if this medium is a good one for fostering national and intentional conscience and change.
