About
I earned my bachelor's degree in English and Comparative Literature at California State University, Fullerton. My research is currently centered on the intersection of history and fiction within Latin American texts, particularly those focusing on periods of dictatorship. Within this focus, I’m particularly interested in examining gender representation as influenced by the figure of the dictator, as well as how these gender constructions inform definitions of Latinidad. My other research interests include code-switching within Latin American texts, translation studies, and exploring the non-real as a significant figure within historiography.
