About
During her academic career, Dr. Braunschneider has been a scholar of 18th-century British literature and the history of sexuality, a tenured professor of English at a liberal arts college , a pedagogical consultant, and a leader of DEI efforts at U-M's teaching center, CRLT.
In 2020, she began teaching courses on feminist pedagogy and higher ed in U-M's Women's & Gender Studies department, where she also supported GSIs in their professional development as college teachers. Most recently, she's taken on the role of First-Year Seminar Program head in U-M's Residential College.
She continues to offer courses focused on equity and inclusion in higher education in both the RC and the School of Ed's Center for the Study of Higher & Postsecondary Education.
