Much progress has been made in the understanding and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), but not all segments of our society have benefited from these advances. OCD in African Americans has been, and continues to be, a neglected area of research. This talk will focus on recent advances in our understanding and ongoing gaps in our knowledge, including barriers to treatment and how OCD impact youth with the disorder.
