About
Don Herzog joined the political science department at the University of Michigan in 1983. He now teaches full-time in the Law School. His main teaching interests are political, moral, legal and social theory; constitutional interpretation; and the first amendment. He's now working on cunning, as a way of thinking about rationality, morality, and social roles. Most of his work is on Anglo-American materials from the sixteenth century to today. He has a full-time appointment at Michigan's law school but continues to teach occasionally in the department and regularly advises graduate students. Don has recently finished a book on defaming the dead.
