If you are interested in pursuing physics as a major or minor, you should schedule an appointment to speak with an advisor as early as possible. It is never too early to make this appointment; we regularly meet with and advise students who are enrolled in their very first physics course! In a one-on-one meeting, we can better provide you with the information you need and help you gain a strong foundation as you maneuver your way through coursework.  Since much of the physics curriculum is sequential, with one course building on another, it is a good idea to do some planning of your curriculum early on and avoid unnecessary (and at times costly) surprises.
