Lauren joined the administrative staff of the University of Michigan in January 2014. She spent nearly five years as a Program Assistant in Applied Physics before joining Physics in November 2018 as the Graduate Program Coordinator. Prior to coming to the University of Michigan, Lauren spent thirteen years working in marketing, event planning, and office management, including working for the Detroit Red Wings. Lauren holds a BA in English from the University of Vermont. 


In her role, Lauren oversees the academic programs of 160 graduate students in Physics. She tracks student progress, milestones, and funding, while coordinating GSI hiring, graduate admissions, and the annual recruitment visit. Lauren works with the Physics Graduate Council on planning events and implementing department initiatives that directly impact graduate students. Lauren really enjoys meeting prospective students and helping current students successfully navigate the ups and downs of their programs.
