U-M Professor Franco Nori joins the list of 2017 Highly Cited Researchers compiled by Clarivate Analytics. Now in it’s 4th year, the Highly Cited Researchers list represents some of the world’s most influential scientific minds. These researchers, spanning 21 fields of the sciences and social sciences, rank in the top 1% by citations for field and publication year in Web of Science. They are colleagues, teachers, and mentors — and they are leading the way in solving the world’s biggest challenges.

Professor Nori is one of 20 University of Michigan Principal Investigators (PI's) on the list along with PI's in mostly medicine and bio-related fields, and five researchers in four non-bio/medical areas: Math, Physics, Economics, and Chemistry.

"It is impossible to reach this level of research impact alone; it requires the help from many. It has taken me a very long time to reach this. Now that my group is running in high-gear, I hope to continue this pace for some time," Professor Nori said.
