About
Josh's main philosophical interests lie in the union of political philosophy, the philosophy of law, and epistemology. He's particularly interested in the political economy of environmental law, asking: how do our legal institutions promote (or hinder) environmental justice, and how could we make them better? He received a BA in Philosophy and German from Stanford and studied as a DAAD fellow at the University of Freiburg. Before joining Michigan, Josh worked in human rights advocacy, particularly on issues related to environmental racism and mass incarceration. He is also a JD student at Stanford Law School.
