Incoming Michigan Philosophy faculty member Renée Jorgensen Bolinger has been awarded a fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies. The fellowship will support Professor Bollinger's current monograph book project, Rewriting Rights: Making Reasonable Mistakes in a Social Context.

ACLS fellowships award up to $60,000 to support six to 12 months of research and writing for scholars in the humanities and social sciences. The program's 2020-21 awards were designated specifically to support emerging scholars.

Professor Bollinger is one of four philosophers to receive an ACLS fellowship in the most recent cycle.

More information about the program is available on the ACLS website.

Congratulations, Professor Bollinger!
