Vanessa Mayesky

Vanessa Mayesky is the Associate Director of the Prison Creative Arts Project (PCAP), managing its staff team and operations, and the RC Community Programs Business Administrator. She began her PCAP involvement as an undergraduate student and continued to facilitate weekly theater workshops in prisons, youth detention centers, and high schools for eight years. Vanessa started her public service career with two years of national service in the AmeriCorps VISTA program, followed by a decade in nonprofit fundraising and administration. She joined the PCAP staff team in 2011. Vanessa holds a B.A. in Language and Power from the Residential College and an M.P.A. from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
