Mae Wilson (they/she) has been part of PCAP since 2018. They serve on the editorial board of the Michigan Review of Prisoner Creative Writing, have experience facilitating theater and creative writing workshops inside Women's Huron Valley Correctional Facility, and have visited 20 prisons across Michigan to meet with artists and select works for PCAP's annual art show. Mae also works with the Carceral State Project as Communications & Outreach Coordinator and on the Confronting Conditions of Confinement research team, having undertaken archival research on the history of Michigan prison conditions and conducted oral history interviews with returning citizens about their lived experiences. Mae completed a Ph.D. in 2022.
