Exhibition Audio Tour

J. Gostlin, A Peaceful Afternoon

PCAP is excited to introduce an audio tour experience to the 25th Annual Exhibition of Art by Michigan Prisoners online viewing. Hear from Janie Paul, co-founder of the exhibition, curator El Chen, and PCAP artists Bryan Picken and Martin Vargas to learn more about this exhibition and the impact it has on communities inside and out.

This tour was recorded with a physical gallery in mind. Selected elements mentioned in the recording, such as the Guest Book and critique letter writing, have been made available online

During parts of the tour, you'll hear mentions of "the video." Each year, PCAP sends recording of the exhibition's opening reception and a video slideshow of exhibit images to all participating prisons. PCAP artists can often watch the video from close-circuit TV at their facility.
