Founded in 2017 by graduate students from the University of Chicago and University of Michigan, the Great Lakes Student Paleoconference (GLSP) was created to bring together students of paleobiology from all subdisciplines in a casual academic setting. Presentations are given primarily by undergraduate and graduate students, although academics of any career stage are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and participate.

The 3rd GLSP will be hosted in the University of Michigan’s new Biological Sciences Building, and will feature talks and (possibly) poster presentations, a round table on science communication with internal and external contributors, a tour of the new University of Michigan Museum of Natural History, and more!

As a young meeting, GLSP continues to evolve and expand, and we ask anyone interested in attending to fill out the short interest form below so that your feedback can contribute to the meeting’s form and content. Please forward this email and interest form to anyone in the paleo-world who may be interested in attending! Stay tuned for details regarding registration and abstract submission, and in the meantime check out the website for the 3rd annual GLSP.

Thanks for reading, and we look forward to seeing everyone in November!

Best wishes,

The GLSP 2019 committee
