Cathy advises OS majors, assisting them with course planning, progress-to-degree information, senior audits, course transfers and petitions, study abroad, and other issues. In addition, she coordinates the OS admissions and curriculum review processes, is responsible for advising technology within the office, and engages in OS alumni programming. She also participates in many aspects of OS program review and future planning.
Cathy completed her Bachelor’s degree at Hope College, her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at UM, and has been on staff at UM since 1985. She began her career in the Undergraduate Admissions Office, and also worked in admissions on the UM-Dearborn campus, rising to the level of Assistant Director. She returned to the Ann Arbor campus to serve as the Coordinator of the Office of Student Services at the School of Education, supervising the graduate and undergraduate recruiting, admissions, registration, and advising processes for that unit. She joined the Organizational Studies Program staff in the role of Advisor in October 2001 and continues to enjoy her work in the program.
