On July 1, 2022, Elizabeth Popp Berman, Associate Professor of Organizational Studies and Associate Professor of Sociology (by courtesy) became the fourth Director of the Organizational Studies program and the program's first female director. Beth joined the OS faculty in 2019 and has been an instrumental addition, helping to pioneer the department's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Beth’s work is at the intersection of organizations, economic sociology, and the sociology of science and knowledge. Much of her work focuses on recent U.S. history and emphasizes the role of public policy.

A huge thank you goes to outgoing Director Mark Mizruchi, who led the OS program for the past 10 years!

From Mark, "I want to say to everyone who is a part of OS— our current and former students, faculty, and staff, our parents, our supporters, from every corner of the world—thank you for giving me an opportunity to be associated with this program. Thank you for everything you do. You are what makes OS great."
