Creative Marketing and Advertising Strategies in Business Organizations
In our consumer based culture, marketing and advertising have such powerful influences on what we buy, what we do, and how we think. I am interested in the psychological and sociological implications that drive these decisions in business interactions. Before taking my first economics course, I was oblivious to how much psychology, sociology, and economics related to each other; but now, I am able to use them as lenses to evaluate different components of media. As an Art and Design minor, I plan on implementing creative solutions throughout my future work in marketing and advertising. Design driven, I hope to apply both my organizational and artistic studies to find new, innovative ways to understand consumer business. The OS program draws a variety of perspectives with its diverse areas of study, driven students, and dedicated staff. This challenging program will provide me with the necessary skills needed to succeed in business, allowing me to explore and cultivate my understanding of organizations in a creative way. With such flexibility, I am excited to further establish a fundamental business background and apply my artistic and psychological mindset to the marketing and advertising industry.
