Fostering Motivation, Collaboration, and a Growth Culture to Achieve Organizational Success
I have always been fascinated by human behavior: Why do people make certain decisions rather than others? How are people able to work together despite differing interests and strengths? What motivates people to dedicate time and energy to collaborate with one another to achieve a common goal? These are only some of the many questions I hope to find answers to on my OS journey. Because I believe that the success of any organization happens through its human capital, I hope to discover strategies on how to help individuals reach their highest potential, whether it is through optimizing their learning resources, building a growth-committed culture, or fostering collaboration in diversity.
That said, I hope that my Organizational Studies and Psychology majors will equip me with the knowledge necessary to understand the structural complexities of organizations, and with the skills necessary to improve the kinds of environment people work in. I also hope to learn about organizational change and positive leadership in order to motivate team members to think, create, and thrive with a growth mindset. Ultimately, my career goal is to not only work with people but to empower people to work, collaborate, and continuously strive to advance themselves and the organizations they are part of.
