Developing and Analyzing Human Capital and Marketing Strategies for Long-Term Organizational Success
I have always questioned what draws people to certain environments and why people make the decisions that they do within a group. As someone who thrives around other people, I am deeply interested in cultivating positive work environments and relationships. In taking courses such as marketing management and leadership within organizations, I hope to further develop an understanding of why people act the way they do and what draws people together within an organization or to an organization. I also seek to gain a deeper understanding of the intersections between business, media, and human nature with my double major in Organizational Studies and Communications and Media. More specifically, I aim to focus on human capital and marketing in hopes of learning how people think and engage with others as well as with creative content.
Paired with my double major, the Cappo Sales Program will provide me with an analytical perspective as well as the necessary quantitative tools to comprehensively examine an organization’s environment, decisions, and individuals. With a background in nonprofits, I aspire to work with low-income businesses and startups to help them innovate their strategies in reaching a wider audience. The interdisciplinary education provided to me by OS will prepare me for a career in which I can grow, create, and innovate a unique skill set that will allow me to further progress the experiences of individuals within and outside of organizations.
