The Impact of Positive Psychology and Wellness on Community, Productivity, and Satisfaction in the Workplace
Even as businesses grow and develop, I have always believed that the individual has the ability to create monumental change. However, they may require a certain mindset to do so. Emotional well-being can be a great predictor of success. It is vital that we foster the development of mental health in employees. Thus, we can improve overall company morale and achievement.
As a double major in Psychology and Organizational Studies, I plan to explore Positive Organizational Scholarship while placing an emphasis on the role of mental health in the workplace. My goal is to enhance my understanding of the relationship between these topics. Using this knowledge, I believe I can help employees develop strength and resilience, find meaning in their work, build positive emotions, and create positive relationships with colleagues and supervisors. Lastly, I intend to learn more about nonprofit organizations, as I would love to get involved in the active advocation of emotional well-being. In essence, my pathway actively incorporates the importance of mental health into the lives of employees to ensure heightened productivity and camaraderie.
